[December 12 Event] 2nd HiSOR-II Mini Workshop (New Developments in Soft X-ray Utilization) 

Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science, Hiroshima University (HiSOR), will host the "2nd HiSOR-II Mini Workshop: New Developments in Soft X-ray Applications."
To advance the concrete planning of the next-generation synchrotron radiation ring, HiSOR II, we will invite researchers active in the soft X-ray field to share research trends and engage in multifaceted discussions.

We look forward to your participation in this workshop, which will provide an opportunity to deepen discussions toward the conceptualization and design of the HiSOR II project.

Purpose of the Event

Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science (HiSOR) at our university has developed diverse research as a core facility in the synchrotron radiation field, a priority area for J-PEAKS. This includes precise measurements of the electronic and spin structures of solid materials using a low-energy light source in the vacuum ultraviolet region, as well as structural analysis of biomolecules.
Currently, we are advancing the concept for the next-generation synchrotron radiation ring, HiSOR II, and are examining a new ring design that anticipates reduced emittance and optimized acceleration energy.
　

To address the expanding scope of research themes and methodologies, we hold regular workshops to deepen discussions on the beamlines and ring configurations required for HiSOR II.
This second workshop will invite experts in soft X-ray materials research and advanced measurement fields to share insights for advancing the project through presentations and discussions.
